The upcoming spirit days for next week's homecoming!
Tomorrow is "Tackle the Badgers" and Gold-Out day! Gold stands for ending childhood cancer, and gold worn with Camo is our spirit theme. We will also be having our first pep-rally at the high school gym at 1:45 tomorrow. Parents may come to support their students, but we encourage them to show up early to check into the front office. For students to be in the building this is a mandatory process. Come support your LTMS Mustangs as we Tackle the Badgers!
All, Leon Taylor Middle School is officially open, and we will be having a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 5:00pm on Thursday the 14th, with our Fall Open House to follow from 5:00 to 7:00pm. We are excited to show the families of our students, and the community the new building and all that the ISD has provided.
All, As the first day of school is approaching we wanted to reach out and let you know how some things are going to be. As everyone knows by now, we are moving into our new building the week after labor day. This was confirmed and locked in. However, that means we start the year as we did last year and some procedures need to be made clear. For all students the will report to their home campus at the start of the day on Tuesday the 15th. 8th graders at the High School, 6th and 7th graders at the Blaschke Sheldon. Bus drop off will be at last years locations. 8th grade drop off and before school holding is in the gym at the high school. Please drop your students off there and they will go through the metal detectors there if your student is in 8th grade. 6th and 7th grade drop off is at the front of the Sheldon, and they will come in those doors. All student first periods will be posted in their morning areas. When they report to their first period, we will provide them their schedules. We are excited to get everyone back into the building and begin what will be a fantastic and exciting school year. If there are questions, please reach out and we will assist in any way we can.
All, If your 7th or 8th grade Lady Mustang athlete is going to be trying out for the volleyball teams, please take a moment to read the following letter from the Head Coach.
As everyone is doing online registration, or you're coming up to the school for new student registration, please make sure that you have a current August water bill as proof of residency, parent ID's available and uploaded if registering online. If your student is going to be riding the bus this school year, we will be printing their student ID's and bus badges next week so it can be as seamless as possible for the first day of school. Call 3617763050 to schedule a time to bring your student in!
